Ephesians 1:22
And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, (NIV)

Christ is the head of His church!

Easier said than done, right. Well, we strive to do our best to indeed make Jesus the LORD over His church here in Lewiston. We by no means pretend that this is a novel or exclusive idea, and the truth is if it were it would be a point of concern. But here are some things that we preach from the pulpit and hopefully from our hearts as well. These are the things that help us grow, not only as a body, but also in our daily walk with the Lord. And we hope that maybe these few words will help you get a taste of the salt that is the church here at Lewiston.

1 Corinthians 12:18-20 (NASB)
18 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired. 19 If they were all one member, where would the body be? 20 But now there are many members, but one body.

We must grow to understand that each one of us is a unique but important part of the bigger whole. The LORD has place each of us in this time and place for a specific purpose. We each must learn to fit together as a separate part of one body, that is the church. To do this we must keep in mind that none of us are exactly the same, and that we are indeed human, and therefore sinners. We must overlook one another’s short comings, because Jesus has made such a great sacrifice that ours might be paid, with the Father who is in heaven. In other words we must learn to love each other as Jesus loved us.

Mark 16:15-16 (NASB)
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

Our strategy in the field of missions is that the entire world is in need of the Lord Jesus Christ. And it is our responsibility to carry that word forth. But we must keep in mind that as individual Christians, that the neighbor or co-worker that stands before us with a question on their heart is the one on which we can have the most impact at this given moment.

So if these things make sense to you. Come, share and be shared with. Come, and we will learn about Christian love together!
